Sagewell Bonus Terms and Conditions

Please read these Sagewell Bonus Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms represent a contractual relationship between you (“you,” “your,”) and Sagewell Financial, Inc. (including its subsidiaries, affiliates and assigns) (“Sagewell,” “we,” “us,” “our“), governing your eligibility and participation in this Sagewell bonus program (“Bonus Program”). By accessing or participating in the Bonus Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use incorporated by this reference. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any other policies, terms, or agreements provided to you in connection with Sagewell products or services, these Terms will not control with respect to such conflict. If you do not agree to these Terms, you will be ineligible to access or participate in the Bonus Program.

  • Sagewell Newsletter Typo Finder Bonus – If you are a current Sagewell customer in good standing with a Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account (annual percentage yield 4.65%, accurate as of February 2, 2023), you can earn a $50 cash bonus if you identify a grammatical error or misspelling in any article in the Sagewell Journal newsletter. The bonus will be deposited into your Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account within 2 business days of Sagewell’s successful confirmation of your findings. You must email [email protected] with the name of the article and the sentence with the grammatical error or misspelling. Limit one $50 Sagewell Newsletter Typo Finder Bonus per eligible customer per Sagewell Journal edition. No minimum balance required. Offer valid starting on March 30, 2022.

  • Gas Cash Back Bonus – If you are a current Sagewell customer in good standing with a Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account (annual percentage yield 4.65%, accurate as of February 2, 2023), you can earn 2.5% off every qualified purchase of gas. The transaction must be classified as “Automated Fuel Dispensers” or “Service stations (with or without ancillary services)” in the VISA card network to qualify. Each month the total amount of the “Gas Cash Back Bonus” will be calculated from posted transactions, and then bonuses for that month will be deposited into your Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account on the last business day of each month. Pending transactions will only be considered once they have posted. If amount adjustments are made after the bonus has been paid, we reserve the right to adjust the bonus amount to match the posted transaction amount. No minimum balance required. Offer valid starting on September 9, 2022.
  • Early Funder Bonus — If you are a current Sagewell customer in good standing with a Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account (annual percentage yield 4.65%, accurate as of February 3, 2023), you can earn a $100 cash bonus if the first deposit into your Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account is in the amount of $1,000 and you maintain that balance for at least 30 days. The bonus will be deposited into your Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account within 2 business days after the 30 day period ends. Limit one $100 Early Funder Bonus per eligible customer. Offer valid starting on February 9, 2023.

To be eligible for any Sagewell bonus, you must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, or U.S. Virgin Islands, at least 18 years of age, and have a U.S. physical address or military address (APO or FPO) and a valid Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number.

Any Sagewell bonus is offered and issued solely for loyalty, award, and promotional purposes. Fees may reduce earnings. Funds may take 2-3 days from the date of deposit to clear in your Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account and become accessible. We reserve the right to cancel or modify any offer (including the Bonus Program) and applicable terms and conditions (including these Terms) at any time and without notice to you.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict any individual’s participation in any offer, if we have reason to believe that any party to the offer: (1) was not eligible for the offer or bonus; (2) engaged in abuse, misuse, or fraud in connection with the offer; or (3) violated the terms of the offer, any agreement that the individual has with us or Choice Financial Group, Member FDIC, or applicable law. Individuals who are not your friend, family member, or someone with whom you have a personal relationship are not eligible referrals, and we may ask you to provide confirmation of your affiliation with a referral prior to awarding any bonus.

Receiving a bonus may result in miscellaneous income, and we may be required to send you, and file with the IRS, a Form 1099-MISC (Miscellaneous Income) or Form 1042-S (Foreign Person’s U.S. Source Income Subject to Withholding) for the year in which you participate and are awarded any bonus(es). You are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes resulting from any such bonus(es), including making any required disclosures and remitting any applicable taxes to the appropriate tax authority. Please consult your tax advisor if you have any questions about your personal tax situation.

By enrolling in the Bonus Program and agreeing to these Terms, you expressly authorize Sagewell to act on your behalf as your agent and representative to access your consumer financial information in your Sagewell Consumer Deposit Account and use of the Advance Service pursuant to Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. Through this authorization, Sagewell will collect information about your financial accounts and transactions for the purpose of facilitating the Bonus Program and your participation in it. Your consumer financial information will be collected, maintained, stored, and shared in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.sagewellfinancial.com/privacy-policy.
