How long does it take for my money to settle in the account?
Please allow 3 – 4 business days for transactions into the account to settle
What are the transfer amount limits?
For inbound ACH transactions, you are limited to $10,000/day ($100,000/month).
For instant debit card transactions, you are limited to $2500/day.
There is no limit for direct deposits.
What is Sagewell’s routing number?
Can I use Zelle to transfer money?
Please use your debit card number when adding your Sagewell account to Zelle. Zelle will not accept your Sagewell account and routing number. When this method becomes available, we will let you know.
Deposit money via debit card
Fund your account instantly
- Login to your Sagewell account
- Select “Fund your account with debit card”
- Add your external debit card’s information
- Submit the transfer
- If the transfer is approved, the funds will appear in your account with a few minutes
Please note that instant transfers are limited to $2500/day. Your external debit card may have their own limits.
Link your current bank and transfer money
Within your Sagewell account (Plaid)
When you connect your account, we launch a window right over the screen. That’s where we’ll plug into your current bank to make the transfer.
Make sure and have your email and password handy. Depending on your bank’s security, we may request additional verification, including:
• Your external bank’s account number
• Your external bank’s routing numbers
• Two factor email or SMS confirmation
Login to your external account and navigate to their external accounts section. This may be called “Manage external accounts” or “Add an external account” Please note: not all banks offer this feature. If you cannot locate it, please contact your bank to determine next steps.

Confirm the information. Please note: our FDIC insured banking partner Choice Financial Group may appear as the listed bank.
Your bank may initiate a microdeposit process to verify you have control of your Sagewell account. They will deposit small amounts <$1 into your Sagewell account. When they do, you’ll need to take these amounts and input them into your institution’s website.
Your accounts are now linked and you can transfer money into your Sagewell checking account!

Login to your Peer-to-Peer payments app
Navigate to their add accounts section This may be called “Payment methods” or “Add bank or card”
Search for “Sagewell” and enter your Sagewell login information. Confirm it’s us with our logo.
